Ive been looking to buy a 75 shadow for a while now, and because California is changing their laws for what handguns you can purchase at the end of the year I bought one. found it on-line, had it transfered to my ffl, did the song and dance(10 day wait, lots of fees) I get it home and the serial numbers on the slide and barrel don't match the frame.... I'm not real happy about it. cz custom has offered to machine the serial number off the slide and re polycoat it or replace the gun all together. Machining the serial number still doesn't fix that the parts are from two differant guns. If I replace the gun I will be paying shipping $30-$60 and California's fees $90, so around $150 to get the gun the way it should have been the first time. Maybe I'm being unrealistic in the expectation that when you buy a new gun that it would come with the correct parts? I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem? or if this is normal for CZ?
