SP01SHADOW,

We "think" we have a relatively easy approach to getting the OEM bushing out and we'll share this with the forum members.

wdbutcher,

We are picking up a large order of the Canik barrel bushings this morning, but will have to check the dimensions and accuracy of the machine work. We should have these back on the website this week.

First 10X fitted to a Shadow.  We were pleasantly surprised just how good it looks and how it blends in with slide.  Lock-up is amazing.

Would love to see an accuracy comparison if possible.  Thanks.

I am waiting to see this new method of busing removal. I am guessing this should also work for the TS/CTS slides as well.

himurax13,

We are building a really nice Tac Sport and we are going to determine if the bushing fits, if so, our in stock TS will get this upgrade.  I'm pretty sure it works, but will verify soon.

Excellent. I can't wait for the results. Will you have any Canik bushings in stock soon?

Found this post while trying to find an easy way to remove the barrel bushing. I ended up using a long 7/16 socket and tapping it with a punch. Seemed to come out very easily.

Unfortunately we only have a limited initial quantity.  We would appreciate feedback from the installers.

SPO1Shadow,  please include some pics if possible showing
the removal and new bushing install.
I think this will be a "must have" for many shooters.

SP01Shadow,

Thank you.  We really need some feedback on these from start to finish on the install and how they work.  We have the design at the 99% stage, so if we get input and suggestions, we will listen.

On the OEM bushing removal, we are using a common punch with a fairly large flat end.  1/4" seems to be good and you can typically find this in one of those sets at Lowe's, Home Depot, Sears, etc.  We go through the recoil spring tunnel and start tapping at the bushing/slide junction.

Method #2 would be to find or buy a tap that would fit the bushing ID, cut some threads, then put the square driving end of the tap into a vise and slowly pull and wiggle the bushing out.  Hope this makes sense.

Please update on the bushing fit for the TS. I have two CTS eagerly waiting to be accurized...
