Anyone have a pic of CZ aluminum or G10 grips on a small frame Witness? Hogue rubber grips will fit anything with enough persuasion. :-)

I don't have any aluminum or g10 grips to try, but the plastic grips from my 85b (which takes the same as the 75) fit perfect on my ea9b.

Ya. I don't care to buy from Buds but the price was good, my FFL is on file with them, etc. Finally shipped this morning.

Good thread, I'm tempted to pick one of these up for just a little over 300 and some change

Pretty much just a CZ 75 B clone?

It's a tanfoglio so it isn't a true clone in regards to parts interchanging, but it will take CZ75b magazines and grips.  You won't regret grabbing one, I really like mine.

My LGS can get them for 350.  Same price as gunbuyer with the FFL transfer fee.

I'm thinking this may be a good buy at that price point

A very good clone at those mid$-300 prices. Feels chunkier and a less refined build than a CZ 75B. The muzzle has sharp, flat edges/face and there was a small rough cut on one side of the barrel feed ramp near the top (doesn't affect feeding with S&B round nose). Luckily, Hogue G-10 grips can replace the thin plastic stock grips....just have to watch the mag release clearance. Had to try the CZUB Retro alum...they feel good for me and do dress up a plain Jane nicely.
Front sight is an integral part of slide so any changes require smithing at a cost. A bit wide for precision shooting but can get you into the ring at 25 yards. Shorter reset than a stock CZ trigger. Looking to put in a lighter mainspring next.

I got mine two weeks ago. Put in a 13lb Wolff hammer spring and a 18lb trigger bar plunger spring, CGW trigger return spring, and polished everything. My sear/hammer engagement was very rough and gritty and took a good deal of polishing to smooth out. I typically don't mess with sear and hammer hook surfaces but this one was pretty bad. All good now. Smooth as glass. A fraction of the camming a stock CZ has. Tanfos have a much better hammer cut and Reset out of the box. Very easy to bring up to speed. 3lb 9oz SA pull after the springs and tuning. My biggest disappointment is it hits an inch+ low at 15 yards. I believe the adjustable LPA rear sight from the Elite Match will work so I'm going to find one and bring the POI up. If I really fall in love with the pistol I'll have the front sight cut down and milled for a fiber optic. Right now the pistol is good but not exceptional. I'm also getting an occasional light strike with the 13lb mainspring. This is not an issue in my two other Tanfos that are running the same spring. Maybe it needs some more break in. I initially had a few FTE issues where the extractor was not pulling the spend round out of the chamber. A good soaking with oil cured that. Definitely worth what I paid but not up to par with my 1994 EA9L compact as far as overall quality.

I also have a nice set of original TA90 wood grips coming that I found on eBay. I look forward to doing something interesting with them for this pistol. I also scored a NOS set of the old style rubber grips. The cheap plastic ones it came with have to go. They really don't look bad but they just scream cheap..

Here's a little video action I recorded Saturday featuring the new Tanfo and three of my CZ's shooting at my 24" gong at 200 yards.

Thanks for the review and great shooting!  You're gonna give Hickok45 a run for his money on that gong [emoji106]
