Some thoughts after putting 140 rounds down the pipe today .

I see no issues with the trigger , both DA and SA felt fine and pretty crisp. I also didn't find the DA heavy  ( I am use to issued M9s and my HK45ct so I am not exactly a trigger snob)

The grips felt good, kind of ugly but I'll deal (my hands are massive ).

POI was slightly left of POA, not sure if it was me or the sights ( I am an experienced shooter, but by no means perfect ).

It fed the !@##ty range reloads pretty well, one stove pipe but it was pretty obvious that it was a weak round ( felt like a .22)

Felt pretty balanced, and sturdy . I'd like to say it pointed naturally but with the slight POI/POA issue I am not sure I am ready to say that

Thanks for taking the time to post. Good to hear more and more thoughts as people get theirs.

Here is a link from me testing different ammo with the lighter hammer springs from CGW.

Just snagged up one of these as well fro MrGunDealer. I have to give up the mags (unfortunately live in NY) but am just happy to get the pistol. I love my SP-01 and just wished there was a smaller one at times for carrying, this fits the bill perfectly.

I picked one of these up a week ago or so as well... Fits right in with my SP-01 & Compact-L, all being manual safety!

I have not taken it to the range yet, but initial thoughts are the thin safety is hard for me to manipulate 100% of the time, and would be even worse in a stressful situation. I also don't like how far the slide lock lever sticks out on the right side of the frame. The frame is chamfered for a much shorter piece...

My plans for the trigger will match my SP-01... CGW SRS-2 short reset kit & some light polishing.

It's interesting to see what everyone ends up doing to theirs... Stock, polishing, upgrades... Share pics of em and when ya'll take them to the range.

I need to put some rounds through it before I decide, but the trigger feels fine to me . Better than my HK45ct. Probably change the sights , maybe the grips just for aesthetics.

I just got mine today and I agree the trigger feels pretty good. After it's cleaned and I put a few hundred rounds through it I'll see how it is. Right now all I'm thinking of doing is possibly grips and maybe new sights. At the most I might do the CGW Ultra Light Kit to help reduce the DA pull.

I've got a Tactical Sport safety arriving soon. I'll post pics of when I get installed. That way those who don't reach the safety easily know what alternatives will fit.

Congrats, it finally came! You're not far from CZ Custom, so you can always swing by with questions about parts like safeties. I'm definitely jealous!

I'm looking at a FO Dawson sight set for this model - is it considered a 75 D compact or a P-01? Dawson has different sight heights between the two, and I'm not sure if it is just because of the sights or if it is something model specific.

Thanks Scarlett. This pistol seems like it's better than the average compact. I'm comparing it to the traditional compact I recently purchased. There's a huge difference in the two guns right out of the box. Extended mag release, lighter and smoother SA/DA trigger etc. Now I'm thinking about ordering a second one myself. I wonder if it has to do with the nature of the original order ? Any thoughts ?

At this point I'm not 100% sure what to call this gun. If you can remove the rear sight it should have a number on the under side. Probably a 4,5,or 6 then you can match the new sight with the factory sight. A sight pusher is a big help but not totally necessary. Good luck.

My hands/fingers are long, can palm a basketball... For me it's the amount of purchase available for my thumb on the slim safety, and maybe because of my long fingers it's kinda awkward. I installed Shadow safeties onto my SP-01 and love them. I also have a pair of TS safeties here I was going to try and fit to my Compact-L, but never did. I might see how yours comes out... I do like the slim safety for its purpose of comfort when concealed carry.

I'll swap my safety out tomorrow, didn't have time tonight. I did get to shoot it for another 100 rounds tonight. Tested 90 rounds with CCI primers and 10 rounds with S&B primers and the 11.5 lb hammer spring. I seated all the primers very well. Had 3 failures with the CCI's and 3 with the S&B's. All fired after second strikes. These brands are on the harder side. But since they're all I have I'm going to switch back to the heavier hammer spring. When I do my part this pistol stacks those bullets together.

Cool threads about this pistol, friends!
I never desired the rail versions of CZs, yet there IS something desireable about this one for some reason.  However, I'm sticking to my guns right now and still name the standard steel compact as likely next to compliment my Matte Stainless and PCR.  I much prefer its slide with no front serrations and lack of chamber loaded indicator.  That being said, I might have succombed to the desire for this beast if it was in .40 S&W just.because.

I don't remember, and w/o re-reading the entire thread again... Do you have an extended firing pin installed already? I run the 11.5lb hammer in my SP-01 and it's been flawless, but that's running factory ammo. Mostly S&B, with a mix of CCI blazer, PMC, etc...
