I carry my CZ75 Compact every day.  Just finished mowing the yard about an hour ago in all this heat/humidity.

Back in about 1983 or 84 I was carrying a M29 S&W, two double speed loader pouches (4 speedloaders), my radio, mace, a double handcuff case with two pairs of the S&W hardened handcuffs and a night stick ring (seldom carried the night stick but wanted the loop/ring on my belt in case I did grab it from the car) for 8 or 9 hours a day, if I worked over it could be 12 to 16 hrs.

One night my buddy on graveyard shift asked me how much the rig weighed and I told him I had no idea.  We went to one of the offices that had a postal scale and I pulled the belt/gear/keepers off my pants belt and set it all on the scale.  Just over 13 lbs.  I had no idea it weighed that much.

Carry it and you will become used to it.
I carry a PCR everyday for about 13 hours.... I carry IWB because I need to tuck as a manger who is outside in SWFla. My only problem is o have to wipe with hoppes and oil the left side of the gun once a week on the decocker and the grip screw. They get some surface iron oxidation from humidity. Once a week I?ll oil the whole surface down.

Weight is not my problem. Humidity is.
I don?t mind spending a few minutes a week fondling my EDC yo make sure she?s clean. [emoji41]

My P07 after a trip to the range on a hot muggy day here in central VA.  The sweat was beaded up on it like rain drops when I pulled it out of the holster.  Not quite as bad yesterday at the range (nearly so).  The sweat didn't get through the leather to the gun but the holster left a wet spot on the counter top when I laid it down after removing it from my belt/pants to wash my clothes after the range trip.

I shot the P01 Omega and the M&P .380 EZ.  I cleaned those and the P07 that had never been out of the holster.  Not taking a chance, if I can help it.  I hate rust.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I see what you're saying, but still, I don't think you're going to find anybody who wants more weight when lighter options are available. It would be interesting to see what the current weight is of the rigs cops are carrying now, I'd guess that it'd be lighter, as things like radios (and I'm guessing ) have gotten smaller, lighter with equal or better performance.I think it would be fair to say that the majority of agencys today are carrying a polymer framed pistol or some sort, so weight there has for the most part, dropped.. As much as I like my 99021, I'm currently keeping my eyes peeled for a recently manfactured ('18 manfacture date) P-01 Omega, and figure on doing some upgrades (sights, CGW parts) to it as money allows. I figure it won't weigh much more than what I'm carrying now, (a PX4cc, I'm figuring the P01 weighs maybe 4oz more loaded) My 99021 is a tack driver, and I figure a P-01 would be as well. On the range, I'll be the first to admit that my 99021 can out shoot my PX4, using the same ammo, so, that's the main reason I'm looking at a P01 Omega, plus they're easier to work on, can easily swap mag release, and it's a decocker, which is important to me for carrying..and not much of a weight gain..In this case, the juice is worth the squeeze..

I have a Shadow Line Compact that I don't have room for in my safe...if you'd rather have that.

To me, the weight difference between the aluminum and steel matter much more when carrying than it does when shooting. I prefer to shoot the 99041, but I prefer to carry the aluminum frame.

Fortunately, the Shadow Line Compact outshoots even my buddy's Cajun 99041.

My problem is once I bought my 99041, I've been on the fence about just using it or keeping it unfired in the safe for a while or just selling it and getting a cheaper one I won't mind working on.  I've always liked the Boba Fett looking ones myself.

I bought one and put it in the safe.  Unfired.  Just field stripped it and lubed it/wiped it down and put it back in the box.

Showed it to my sons and nephew.

The shop I bought it from had more.  I'd see them at every local gun show and even went to his shop once (when I bought the first one.)

He had them show after show and I bought another one.  Didn't fire it either.  Just field stripped/lubed and put away in the safe.

Then I got the idea of converting it to SAO in an attempt to trade it to my youngest son for his P07 9MM.  He seldom shoots the P07 as his favorite pistol has been the CZ75 SA (ever since he got it).  I figured if he liked the full sized gun he might be tempted by the SAO Compact.  Nope.  He never would talk trade so I shot it/sighted it in.  I think I've had it to the range once since I sighted it in and shot a couple magazines through it.  I have all the original parts in the box with it, so it could be converted back if I ever felt the need.  But it's no longer "unfired in the box."  He'll end up with both of the some day anyway.  Hopefully it'll be a good long while.

The factory trigger was just nasty.  If I was picking on trigger pulls I'd have left it in the shop.  It's pretty decent with the SA conversion and the CGW bushing works with the trigger and the rest of the CZ parts to shoot nice groups for me.  I considered carrying it some, it does still have the firing pin block installed and still has a 3 lb. SA trigger that feels great.

It's a good feeling gun, but those grooves on the front/back of the P01's just add something to the feel that made me choose a P01 Omega over the steel framed gun for my next carry 9MM.

Just recently picked up a steel frame P-01. What a tank. Like shooting a 22 lol.

Bought one new in box a few weeks ago. Cleaned/lubed and in storage. Have plenty of other CZs for action so I don?t think I even going to try it out for a long time.

Same here - bought the 99041 and just put it away because there are so few.  Didn't realize I would end up doing so or would have bought a regular or used P01 or PCR.  Will probably sell 99041 son so someone can put it to use. Guess I'm not one for safe queens.

(What's the opposite of a safe queen, anyway?)

Safe Queen = clean, unused, seldom seen, don't know if it's reliable/accurate or not.

Warrior Princess = not so clean, well used, touched/grabbed/held every day, absolutely certain it's reliable and accurate.

Remember all those guys that name their guns with female names?

I just never quite understood that, but I know guys that do it.

Funny - I never heard that. Either I don't pay attention enough or...I don't pay attention enough.  But I like it. Sounds better than saying "Boba Fett-looking".

I initially read all the buzz on the forum about the 99021, got a friend to buy one but never got around to getting one myself. Shot my friend's 99021 a few times. I really like the beaver tail on the 99021. Started looking around and saw the 99041. Searched online but both have dried up in stock. Did some extensive Google searching for 99021 and 99041, found one place which had a 99041 in stock! Called and verified they had it, purchased it, picked it up yesterday.

Congrats on finding one.  I have a 99021 and love the thing.
