Considering a Red Dot, How Do I Start?

Duke Nike’s and Vinny I do appreciate your replies.  Since I want to see what all the fuss is about the RDS I decided that it is a much cheaper experiment to first mount it n a plate then having the slide machined.  Since CGW has a very long turn around time for milling, I will be looking for other companies that offer such services in case  I am ready to pull the trigger ( no pun intended) on getting the slide machined if I do end up loving the RDS.  Have a great week-end.

When I had my SP-01 slide milled for a red dot sight it was the best move I ever made for my 63 y/o eyes. I love my Holosun HS-507c.
