jwc:

They are phenomenal,  I especially like the fact that the feed ramps are nicely polished and will feed anything well.  The triggers are crisp out of the factory.  The 1911CF is next on my list.  Its the one below.  She's a beauty.

I am holding out on my next .45 purchase until I see the Taraus 1911s first hand. If I do not like them it will be a stainless SA milspec or a witness with the witness in the lead at this moment.

I can certainly relate to Witnesses being in the lead!

I can not believe how great those pistols are for the money. You even get a steal guide rod instead of a cheap plastic twig.

I hope EAA does a better job of marketing the Witness.  It would take off if they marketed it properly.
I know full page ads in American Handgunner and Guns & Ammo are expensive, but they do get results.

EAA has been doing full page ads in Shotgun News and 1/4 page ads in Shooting Times and NRA publication "The National Rifleman", but only occasionaly.  About once a year they'll advertise in the IPSC publication "The Front Sight".  I think they have picked up the pace on advertising.

They will need to cultivate relationships with major gun dealers as they are now mostly "Dealer Direct" rather than going thru distributors, as they have in the past.  In the past, they treated Dealers rather poorly and they will have some fence mending to do with some!  Only Time will tell!

Yes, Witnesses (Tanfoglio's) are a whole lot of gun for the money!  A very good investment!
