Late to the party on this, but I think the current best bang for the buck optic is the Sig Romeo 5.
High quality sight I?d put just a step below my Aimpoints.

They can be had for ~$120. I actually like the cr2032 battery version better than the AA battery Romeo 5X or 5XDR if you don?t need the dual retica. Its less than half the price and I have a ton of the cell batteries for other optics.
Using the low mount, it gives a true cowitness, lower 1/3 with high mount.
Best part is 50k hour battery life due to MOTAC technology.

I have a TRS-25 on it currently just because I needed to determine if I wanted to go with something really low to co-witness or something higher and ditch the factory sights.  I found the sight height of the Sub2000 unusable.  Low was not a problem so I've got another Sig Romeo 5 to mount up as soon as I can schedule a range trip to sight it in.  I've used the Romeo on a SA Saint and Ruger PCC without issues, think it's a great optic.  The TRS-25 will get reassigned to a 10/22.  I have no issue trusting the Romeo 5 on a home defense firearm with backup sights.

This is a great conversation to have, especially for us just getting a Scorpion.  I have read everything posted before and have limited my choices down to the following:
Primary Arms-advance microdot
Primary Arms-advance 30mm
Sig Arms-Romeo 5

I know all the above have been discussed, but I have not seen much on the 30mm red dots.  Too large or bulky?  Anything to avoid?  Thanks for all the help.

Pretty much have settled on a Trijicon Patrol MRO.

Thanks one and all who have contributed to this thread.

Solid choice.

I would like to see a ACSS reticule calibrated for 115 9mm or sub sonic 9mm.

Holosun 503 gu, circle dot reticle with option for 2moa dot only. Bought 3 in the last couple of weeks for 150 per shipped from botch. Low mount is perfect cowitness on scorp.

Same here. Although I have 2 mro's on other guns and holding back to mounting them on my scorpion just so I'm  not tempted to buy a 3rd mro.

I will add the Romeo 5 as well. Added it 2 weeks ago and love it!
Could have saved a few bucks buying the Holosun since that's what it is...rebranded

Assuming you are correct, where do you find the Holosun branded version cheaper?

Agree, got my Romeo 5 for $119 shipped, I have not found any Holosun for under $199.

Love my Romeo 5, got it for $105 shipped... Bought it from eBay and they are still listed on there for that price now...

I'm running it without the riser and it co-witness perfect without the riser...

Looks like the 403GL is selling for $119 too so it's not saving anything over the Sig. I stand corrected.

Anyone try the Vortex UH-1 on their Scorpion?  It seems like it might look big and out of place on a Scorpion.  I really want to try one though.
