I will add the Romeo 5 as well. Added it 2 weeks ago and love it!
Could have saved a few bucks buying the Holosun since that's what it is...rebranded

Assuming you are correct, where do you find the Holosun branded version cheaper?

Agree, got my Romeo 5 for $119 shipped, I have not found any Holosun for under $199.

Steve

After a little range time I decided to take PSA up on their Holsun green dot and circle with 10 pmags.
I can use the circle dot to define the difference between close quarters and far. Just as I did years ago with Eotecs.
I will let you know how it compares to the Romeo 5.

Astigmatism keeps me from seeing a good dot, and the best bang for the buck to me is the Vortex Spitfire 1x. Needs no batteries, but has red or green illumination if you want or need it. Circle dot is fast and sharp for my eyes.

I enjoy my Romeo5 quite a bit... No turning it off or on... As soon as you move it, it turns on instantly...

Hiya and thx for the thread, after seeing Austinwolf's video in this thread using his vortex, I'd buy it tomorrow if I thought it could get me to see and shoot as fast as he did in his match. At least the price range is such you can experiment with a couple to see if they fit ones style. Where else can 30bucks and your blue loc tight offer as much entertainment. Be well.

Wow, the Holosun 503GU Elite is awesome. Should have started there :-)
Have not shot it yet, but I really like it already. Sits low and co-witnesses just like the Romeo 5. Easy to see that they are manufactured in the same factory.

I got a ROMEO 5 the other day.  Zeroed it yesterday at 15 yds (indoor range).  Like the Highrise Mount. When I started it was way low.  3 shot increments got it up to center mass (started out about a foot low), 2 clicks to the right and spot on.  Ran it out to 25 yds and totally obliterated the head on a silhouette target.  First chance I get, out to an outdoor range and see what it does out to 50 yds. BTW, emailed Sig about the cost of a low mount and they said they will send me one for free.  Not to bad, eh?  When I get it, i'll see what the difference is.

Aimpoint Micro T-1 ~ one battery = always ON for six years.  Low mount = easy cheek weld = lower 1/3 co-witness.

Nice!  I have an Aimpoint on my Bren 805 but I'm having a hard time justifying a $600 option for my Scorpion.  Right now mine wears a Sig Romeo 5 which seems pretty good but of course is short of an Aimpoint.  For a while I was considering getting a Trijicon MRO but that too was a bit more than I want to spend on what's *** mostly *** my range toy.  Eventually I might get a higher end optic but I'll probably run the Romeo 5 for a while to see how it holds up.  Realistically if I need to use it for HD and the optic were to die the sights cowitness and it will only be 25 feet or so.

Waiting for my Holosun 510 to arrive. I know it looks good on the scorpion, hopefully it performs as well.
