Thank you. Now comes the drive back to Illinois for my next run going up to Vancover! Unfortunately I don't have any gun porn left the post I get back home take more pictures lol. I am going to take trigger measurements later tonight to compare against the measurements of my current and past CZ family.

You never bother us, amigo! i'm glad you like, really, as I've always said the vast diversity of sidearms is there because we can't all like the same thing. I will state the absolute smoothest DAo trigger I ever felt was on a Colt Z-40, the Colt/CZ hybrid that morphed into what we call the RAMI 2075 nowadays. You're doing some darn good shooting with that sidearm, but I don't know if any holster maker still has the mold around for that model. High Noon MIGHT have one laying about somewhere, but I'm not sure.
Keep posting - we are always willing to read!

Thanks! It actually fits bleep near perfect in the Winthrop leather holster for my P-07, and hugs the hip nicely.

Sorry I have not yet gotten the trigger measurements done, have been running my tail off ever since leaving out of the house back on Sunday night. Went from Jacksonville up to Muscle Shoals, AL to pick up Monday afternoon, that I then delivered yesterday morning in Casper, WY. And now sitting in the Joliet, IL area about to pass out before picking one up in the morning going out to Vancouver, BC. Busy, busy, busy!

That does look pretty good in the Winthrop Cyanide. FWIW, if you want a few cheaper holsters checkout the Frontlines on Amazon. They still have the CZ 100 in most styles and fairly cheap. The prices jump around every couple days, but I picked up a paddle kydex wrapped with leather for my Phantom for around 12 bucks. Now the same holster is $83.
I was just on there and ordered a leather IWB for $11. Saw one for CZ 100 for $10.  Not sure how quality is on IWB, but I figured for that price I can experiment. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EBBDCPY/ref=mp_s_a_1_17?qid=1417323042&sr=8-17&pi=AC_SY200_QL40
Glad the CZ 100 is working out for you. [emoji2]

Finally got measurements done before dropping stuff off with babysitter, and wanted to share them with y'all. For comparison of "modern pistols" I've included the DA and SA measurements from the other two of my "Top 3", my P-01/P-07 (they're identical).

Note: all measurements taken at the forward most trigger position, at the point when all slack is taken out of the trigger and you actually start hitting resistance, trigger position when the pistol would actually fire. Here they are, and measured from the centerpoint rear of the trigger, to the rear most inside of trigger guard (subject to correction).

CZ 100:
Start: 20mm
Take up: 18mm
BANG: 5mm
Over travel: 5mm
Reset: 20mm
Total travel: 20mm (15-16mm if an over travel stop fabricated & used)
Trigger Pull: 8.6#

P-01 & P-07:
DA Start: 17mm
DA Take up: 15mm
DA ? Cock: 12mm
BANG: 2mm
Total travel: 15mm
Trigger Pull: P-01 10.2# / P-07 9.8#

SA Start: 10mm
SA Take up: 4mm
BANG: 2mm
Reset: 6mm
Total travel: 8mm
Trigger Pull: P-01 5.1# / P-07 4.3#

You be the judge! Just remember that the reset on the P-01 and P-07 is going to be so very much shorter because of the SA trigger.

Once I acquire another CZ 100 down the road I'll see how it stacks up versus the current one I have. We'll see how much variance there is in the trigger pull weight and smoothness.

Wow. 8.6lbs. That's really not that bad for double action. Thanks for the info.

Well, happened to be killing some time a few moments ago at the Cabela's south of SeaTac and wouldn't you know it, the Gun Library there has a CZ 100 there (2003 Mfg). After dry firing it several times, I can say with complete confidence that the trigger on mine (2006 Mfg) has not been worked on for smoothing out the action. This one felt identical in pull weight, firing break, and of course, the hated overtravel lol.

The one problem keeping me from going ahead and putting it on layaway or outright buying it was the $500 price tag!

They also had an HK P7 M13 that I messed around with. But that was entirely too rich for my blood at $2,500.

Hello, I have read this whole posting about the CZ100, it has just been interesting! Most of all thanks to Cyanide for doing all this and sharing it with us.

I saw the 100 once many years ago, but really didn't pay much attention to it. Now, years later, after reading all this, I kind of compare it to the Steyr pistols today. The Steyrs looked much like the original CZ 100, but the current model Steyrs just are much more user friendly.

Point I am getting at, is, that if CZ decided to re introduce the 100, and updated it, such as better grip texture, perhaps improve the trigger, add a rail and easy changeable front sight/night sights, It might be well received. But it would be competing against other polymer framed CZ products, which maybe they don't want to do. To me, if they downsized the CZ100 to perhaps a Walther. PPS size with the upgrades, I think it could become CZ's venture into the sub compact markets , excluding the Rami.

Sunset_VA, you are very welcome and thank you for the kind words!

I will be perfectly honest in saying that I'm not worried about trying to smooth out the trigger action as to me, it is very nice with the exception of the dreaded overtravel lol. I will be doing the pencil eraser quick fix for that (unless I actually put in an overtravel stop screw through the trigger),  and I will be getting the grip stippled asap.

If everything pans out, I should have a second 100 within the next couple of weeks and if so, David at CGW better get ready! Going to let him tinker with it and see what kind of Cajun magic he might be able to produce, even if very limited.

Hi, glad to see I'm not the only CZ100 follower still alive. I bought mine in 1996 and still carry it to this day. I did fit a trigger stop and smoothed out the trigger about 2 years ago. Trigger pull 8lb's, might be long but ultra smooth. Love it and very accurate.
