So when I saw that sig handstop it was exactly what I was looking for only issue is it was Keymod only and currently HBI only makes mlok rails.

so after comparing some of my magpul mlok to picatinny rails to the attachment point of the keymod sig grip I figured it was worth a shot (the grip was only $30)


This is pretty much where i made cuts there was a lot of measuring / cutting / test fitting / cutting again. I used a dremmel with one of the sanding bits to melt/cut away the extra plastic.

note I did have to take some material off the back end other wise it would over overlapped the lower and blocked me from taking it down without removing the handstop
I picked up some longer bolts also, the mlok ones I had laying around just BARLEY engaged the mlok nuts and I wanted some more grab. I also had to drill out the holes a tiny bit, aparently mlok uses bigger bolts then keymod.

Now before someone chimes in an says something about that not being a secure/safe attachment I can push my full body weight (250lbs) against the hand stop and it doesn't budge I also used some loctite blue on the screws just encase.

Nice job! Too much work for me though...LOL! My HBI handguard should ship/be here next week (hopefully) and when it comes time i'll just use an 11 slot pic rail and mount my handstop/stubby vfg to that.

I do like the looks of that setup though.

My 2nd Scorpion.  Sold my first one to a buddy who wanted it more than I did at the time.  I decided it was time to get another and keep it.  I am digging the SB Brace.  I am experimenting with the rail covers at the moment.  I got some short Ak style selectors on order from HBI. 


Added a Sig Romeo 5 and installed the HBI mini Ak safety selectors
