Just wanted to say thank you for solving the stove pipe problem with my 1999 CZ 75 Kadett. Filed the ejector as advised, put a box of Federal Bulk pk through it this morning. Not 1 stove pipe in 500 rds.
How old was that box of Federal Bulk .22?

Glad to hear it worked-out
Noting like having a smooth running KADET
Too fun, so accurate !

A couple of years ago, I searched the web for a solution to my stovepiping kadet kit. I didn't have an account at that time, but this thread (maybe on the old server?) was a lifesaver. I filed the ejector, and it worked perfectly. Before, I used to have (at least) a stovepipe every mag, but I don't think I've had a single one since! :D

Now I just need to figure out how to get the slide to run smoothly... It frequently hangs up while cycling, like it's catching on something. Note that it is not locking back on the slide stop. It is roughly in the middle of the slide's range of motion, but I can't remember if it's as it is opening or closing. I'm wondering if I need to replace a worn-out spring or something...? (Is there already a thread on this that I'm just missing?)

Hi,
If anyone has detailed pics on exactly where to file the ejector, the pics would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum CAG1
The Pictures you are asking for are all but impossible to take, without disassembling the KADET Slide
So read this post and a few after

If you could see the corner in question from the picture, you've got the tiniest camera know to man
The best I can do is a couple drawings:

Sorry the Cellphone pics aren't best

Please don't judge too harsh my micro-photography skills, but here is correctly modified ejector with 100% reliable ejection.
I hope you can have an idea of how to put the angle on the working tip of the ejector. No "before" pictures.

Pictures from Google photos for some reason didn't show. They are still there and showing now. Too large pictures?

Maybe it's my browser that doesn't like the pics

Google always seems to be unreliable with respect to linking photos.

I have the same problem on many forums.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

Do they show now? I have seen them all the time and didn't realize that others do not see them.

Hey Cag
Also check the spring tension on the Extractor
Even if the KADET is new, there could be crud hanging it up in the Groove
Your Extractor is a large part of reliable ejection
If your Extractor doesn't provide a strong point for the Case to pivot around, you'll get weak ejection too

Also, are you seeing any resistance in the movement of the Bolt
If your Bolt doesn't have free movement, you'll loose that rearward energy, an see poor ejection too

Just more things to check

BUT..... once you get the KADET dialed-in
Find that "sweet" Ammo
Your KADET will become one of the most fun, and possibly your most accurate Pistol
