No defense needed in regard to Quality, cost or speed.
My gripe was due to accuracy of official statement from manufacturer which Sven addressed. If you publicly announce a products expected release and you don't follow through, expect upset customers. That's true for all manufacturers in every industry.
For example, building an computer operating system is complex to say the least. If Microsoft missed a release date, they'd have upset customers. I don't think that's disputable or unexpected.
I'm glad that Manticore Arms cares enough to respond to an upset customer. I doubt I'd get the same from Microsoft.
Much appreciated but still a little upset,

One thing I would like to add is that back in the day when I had only 6-8 products, was not doing OEM work for other companies, and didn't have any distributors it was pretty easy for me as a one man show to meet or exceed deadlines on everything, and to keep everyone up to date on every single product.
These days, with dozens of distributors, 40+ publicly known products and a lot more that people don't even know we make OEM for other companies, plus about 12 active R&D products at any one time, it is, well, a wee bit harder to give an exact ETA on every product and when it will be out. That is in fact the reason we set up the "notify me when in stock" email on the product pages- with so many pieces in play sometimes we don't always have an accurate ETA on when something will be up for sale, and even worse, if I say "30 days out" people freak out if we don't have it out in exactly 30 days.
In short, there are a lot of moving parts these days to keep everything moving along in a company that has grown 20 fold in size (yes, you just read that right) in only six years, and although we do our best to try to update on where things are, it just isn't always possible to do, or on rare occasion just slips through the cracks (like the updated description on the website- I have it written up and it just never got posted to the actual website).
In any case there is my explanation (or excuse if you prefer to call it that
) of why we don't always hit the ETA on a launch date or restock date. I hope you understand it is by no means malicious, just sometimes it happens in spite of our best efforts internally, and for what it is worth, despite the fact that my company has grown a whole lot since the first product, I do still try to personally come to the forum to answer questions and keep in touch with what people want to know or want to see from us.
