They are sending you a new gun. Whatever they found with your original gun must have been an issue they deemed unrepairable. Like I said before CZ has really great customer service. Enjoy the new gun when you get it.

Woah, I too have very freshly new P01 omega from Nov 2018 test target and don't have any problems with it. Congrats on new P01 then straight from CZ.

Things like this happen..after all we all need to remember that these are mass-produced pistols, and every so often  a few stinkers will get out..The bright side here, is, that CZ is stepping up to the plate and replacing the pistol, and will probably go through the replacement and make sure there are no problems with it.. I'm betting the OP will be happy with the replacement..

I?m just surprised I bought a used pistol at a gun show (with box, papers, like new etc) and they?re willing to replace it due to the issues I was having.
Makes me wanna buy a P10C...if that?s how they treat customers.

I have no reservations about buying a CZ at all. My experience with them has always been positive and the couple issues I had several years ago were handled courteously and in a timely fashion. I wish I could heap such praises on some of the other major manufacturers products I own/have owned.

I was so impressed by the customer service for the P-01 I picked up a new FDE P-10C not 20mins ago.

One thing: new p-01 did NOT come with the target sheet....not that I care, really.

Hiya spitfire007 and thanks for sharing your story these past few weeks and we are glad that you got the result you did. Its impressive that they figured out the issue(s) and someone signed off on new gun replacement for non original owner. I know for a fact I will be retelling your story in the not distant future.  So did they replace the omega with an omega ? Hope to see your day at the range report soon. Be well.

They did send me a new Omega. The original gun was an 08/18 production, and essentially new on condition. Trigger on the new one is much better, albeit a bit heavy!

Would like to get the CZ Custom trigger work (a la SDP) on it but worry about carry liability.

I?ll break it in along with the P-10C when I get a chance.

Thanks to you all for insight and info!

RANGE REPORT.

Both the P-01 and the P-10C worked flawlessly.
The p10 is a newer serial number and mags drop freely and with little pressure on the mag release as they should
Gun feels good except for the stippling on the back. A little aggressive!
Also, shot it low left A LOT. Gotta figure that out.
Trigger and reset are unreal. A very quick and short reset! Fast shooting!

The new P-01 Omega is way better than what I turned in via warranty.
Clean break in both double and single action.
Reset is long though.
Shot it more accurately than the P-10C. FWIW.

Can?t decide which I prefer!
For EDC, I think the P-01 is a better choice:
-hammer fired
-long DA first pull is more secure under stress

But bleep...that P-10C?s trigger is amazing!

Oh.

Sights are small on both. Not very easy to pick up, I must admit...takes a bit longer to pick up that front sight than my white dots on the old 1911...

On my omega, I put a FO front sight. Helps quite a bit
Like a midget at a urinal, I'll have to keep on my toes

The OEM sights are the one thing I do not like on the P01.  I have had good luck with both Meprolights and XS sights.

FWIW, I had a similar customer service experience with my purchased-used Kadet 2 a couple of years back. CZ USA repaired an issue even though I was not the original owner.  Excellent customer service.

Cheers

I just bought CGW Dawson Trijicon Night sights for my Omega P-01. I hope they are a little more fine and clearer than the stock sights.

Hiya spitfire and think the short reset pkg will get you happy with the reach. Green or red fiber optic helps, cheaper option neon green nail polish on the serration of the front blade you look at works also. And you can google handgun diagnostic target for a variety of maybe reasons. And had an instructor had me shoot at a 3in target as close as I needed to hit 8/10 before moving out another foot, so learning your sight picture helps a lot. Be well.

If you can let us know what you think of them. I'm on the fence with those but for a PCR. I imagine they would be similar sight picture.
